COURTNEY LOVE: a prose poem
I would do anything for Courtney Love.
The album "Live Through This" is the greatest album of all time (right next to Monkey Business by the Blackeyed Peas).
When I graduated from college, I painted my mortarboard to look like the album cover of "Live Through This" and I painted the words,
"girl with the most cake" which are lyrics from the song "Doll Parts," as I am sure you, dear reader, are aware. I think Hole is the
greatest band of all time. I believe any hate against Courtney Love, including the absurd and baseless claims that she killed Kurt, is rooted
in downright misogyny, and dare I say, jealousy. If Courtney Love has 100 fans, I am one of them. If Courtney Love has
10 fans, I'm one of them. If Courtney Love has one fan, that is me. And if Courtney Love has zero fans, I have been killed. Is that how that saying goes? I'm not really sure. But in any case, it's true.
Courtney is an American hero, and deserves a Purple Heart.
